Our client is a hospital hiring a Veterinary Internist to join a specialty and emergency referral practice providing care to dogs and cats. The hospital is seeking an experienced veterinarian with a strong background in internal medicine to manage complex cases and contribute to a collaborative, multi-specialty environment. The position offers flexibility with both full-time and part-time options available.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The role focuses on advanced internal medicine, including diagnosing and treating complex and chronic conditions, providing second opinions, and supporting referring veterinarians. Responsibilities include performing specialized diagnostic procedures such as endoscopy and bronchoscopy, managing hospitalized patients, and delivering comprehensive treatment plans. The position requires strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues, nursing staff, and referring practices. This role is suited to experienced veterinarians.

Practice Details
Our client is a specialty and emergency referral hospital offering comprehensive, high-quality care across a wide range of disciplines. The hospital provides services including internal medicine, emergency care, surgery, anesthesiology, cardiology, dermatology, diagnostic imaging, ophthalmology, and zoo/exotics medicine. Internal medicine services include the diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal disease, respiratory conditions, liver and pancreatic disease, renal and urogenital disorders, endocrine diseases, autoimmune and infectious diseases, hematologic conditions, and cancer diagnosis. The hospital operates 24/7 and supports advanced diagnostics and specialized treatment options within a collaborative, multi-specialty setting.

Team
The team consists of 28 DVMs supported by a great tenured support team, including specialists across multiple disciplines. The environment is highly collaborative, with a strong focus on teamwork, communication, and delivering gold-standard patient care.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
