Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an outpatient clinic setting under physician supervision
- Triage, assess, and document patient conditions; prepare patients for exams and procedures
- Assist providers with examinations, treatments, and non-complex procedures within scope
- Administer medications and vaccines as ordered; monitor for adverse reactions
- Document care in the electronic health record and coordinate referrals as needed
- Promote patient safety, professional image, and efficient clinic workflow
Requirements
- Current Iowa RN license
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Experience in a physician’s office or outpatient clinic setting preferred
- Ability to perform duties in a clinic environment with regular attendance
- Willingness to meet health and employment requirements as specified by the employer
