Job Description:

Position: Dietitian

Location: Staten Island, New York

Setting: Acute Care Hospital

Duration: 13 weeks

Schedule:

• 8:30am-4:30pm
• 37.5 hours per week
• 4-week weekend rotation required

Travel Pay Package:

• $3,024 per week total. Includes base pay, housing, meals and incidentals

Overview:

• Coordinate all phases of nutrition care including assessment, care planning, monitoring, education, and counseling
• Assess patient nutritional status and develop individualized nutrition care plans
• Provide nutrition counseling and education to patients and families
• Cover all units throughout the hospital
• Complete approximately 10 nutrition assessments per day
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Support patients in an acute care hospital environment

• Candidates typically receive a phone call or text to schedule an interview once under review
• Interview feedback is usually provided very quickly
• EPIC charting system
• Liquid Compass timekeeping
• HealthStream assigned on day one
• Two evaluations completed during the assignment
• Any scrub color permitted
• Scrubs are not provided by the facility
• File due Wednesday before start date

Requirements:

• Registered Dietitian (RD) required
• Active New York State Dietitian license required
• Minimum 1 year of Dietitian experience required
• Acute care experience required
• Participation in 4-week weekend rotation required
• CNSC preferred
• Strong clinical nutrition assessment and counseling skills preferred
