Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 3 years of ER experience License: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state Certifications: CPI (NCI with Advanced Physical Skills Training course), NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, BLS, ACLS Required Must-Have: - BSN Highly desired Description: The Emergency Department is a fast-paced environment that treats every type of patient. ED nurses manage critical care skills such as medication titrations, arterial lines, mass transfusion of blood, and chest tubes. Patients range from urgent care (simple procedures), psychiatric, pediatric, and critical care/trauma patients. Nurses coordinate and deliver care to patients with complex nursing care needs to ensure the highest level of safety and quality. The role also promotes a positive patient experience.
