About the Position

One of the fastest-growing community health center networks in New England, with 9 locations in Maine, has an opening for a Family Medicine Physician. We are a nonprofit, community-based healthcare provider serving rural northern Maine, operating a network of health centers across Aroostook, Penobscot, and Piscataquis counties, delivering care to more than 20,000 residents-many in underserved or remote areas.

• Monday-Friday work week
• Patient-centered medical home
• On-site pharmacy
• Services include physical and occupational therapy, chiropractic, massage, optometry, dental, and acupuncture
• Staff include MDs, NPs, and PAs, Social workers, and strong support staff
• Athena EMR
• Manageable patient census

• A small rural town in Penobscot County, Maine, with a population of just under 1,000 residents
• This area offers a quiet, close-knit community atmosphere surrounded by natural beauty
• Located about 70 miles north of Bangor and near the western entrance to Baxter State Park, it serves as a gateway to outdoor recreation, including hiking, fishing, and snowmobiling, as well as access to Mount Katahdin, the highest peak in the state.
• The area is known for its scenic forests, wildlife, and slower pace of life, making it appealing to those who enjoy rural living and nature. While amenities are limited within town, basic services are available, and larger shopping, healthcare, and employment opportunities can be found in nearby communities or in Bangor.
