What You’ll Do

• Provide labor and delivery coverage in a hospital setting while supporting a team of healthcare professionals
• Manage routine labor, including vaginal deliveries and C-sections
• Conduct postpartum rounding and emergency gynecologic consultations
• Support hospital staff with obstetric care, ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Support and adhere to hospital protocols and documentation standards
• Participate in shift coverage including weekends and extended hours

What You Need

• MD or DO with valid state license (IMLC accepted)
• Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
• At least 1-2 years of relevant experience
• Ability to support staff with routine labor management, surgical procedures, and postpartum care
• Willingness to float to other sites as needed (Janesville, Baraboo, Monroe, Madison)

About the Assignment

This role involves labor and delivery coverage at a rural community hospital with a patient volume of approximately 120 births per year. The facility primarily handles routine obstetrics, including labor management, vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and postpartum rounds, with no high-risk obstetric cases involved. The environment is fast-paced, collaborative, and focused on providing quality care with EMR support through EPIC.
