What You’ll Do

• Provide neonatal care in a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
• Attend to 10-12 neonates daily, delivering high-quality patient-centered care
• Collaborate closely with supervising physicians during all procedures
• Perform neonatal resuscitation, PICC line placement, umbilical line placement, and other advanced neonatal procedures
• Support delivery room attendance and neonatal stabilization
• Use Epic EMR for documentation
• Participates in trauma and neonatal emergencies with supervision

What You Need

Required:

• Active state license (no new license candidates)
• Neonatal intensive care experience
• Board certification (ANCC, AANP, NCCPA, etc.)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Ability to work under supervision with supervising physician present

Preferred:

• Experience with neonatal procedures such as chest tubes and needle aspirations
• Strong teamwork and communication skills

This assignment at a leading facility in Lansing, MI, involves caring for neonatal patients in a Level III NICU setting, supporting a short-staffed unit that is transitioning to APP-only staffing. The selected Nurse Practitioner will work alongside a supervising physician to provide essential neonatal services, ensuring high standards of care as part of a dedicated in-house team.
