GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:Support Inspection department in technical needs.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:1. Implement and Maintain automatic inspection systems and dataa. System include Parsytec, Cognex, etc....b. Review new equipment and techniques2. Internal Quality / Problem solvinga. Work as liaison between QC and Operations and Inspection departments in solving quality related issuesb. Assist with data analysis and reports to aid investigations3. Assist in maintaining inspection standards and work instructions4. Assist in completing internal and external corrective actions5. Provide Claims review and Internal missed defect reports6. Perform analysis/audits of inspection records for accuracy and compliance with Work Instructions.7. Provide support as Calibration Manager8. Assist Supervisor with the Inspection department safety program9. Other duties and special projects as assigned by Inspection SupervisorSUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS:1. Other duties as assigned2. Be receptive, and provide adequate feedback for developmental purposesMINIMUM EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:1. Minimum of a B.S. Degree in a science related degree:a. Metallurgy / Material Scienceb. Mechanical / Industrial Engineerc. Physics / Chemistryd. Computer Science (with Inspection system experience)2. Two (2) years of relevant work experience.3. Excellent computer skills4. Good time management and organizational skills5. Good communication skillPHYSICAL ABILITIES REQUIRED:• Mobility in plant• While performing the duties of (this job), the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, etc.• The employee is frequently required to make use of their hands for technical tasks• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds• Visual ability with or without correction• Communication abilitiesHEALTH AND SAFETY:1. Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations2. Comply with company safety rules, policies, procedures, as well as job specific work instructions and JSAs.3. Report the absence of or defect in any personal protective equipment or clothing to the Supervisor or Manager immediately4. Use and wear the personal protective equipment, protective devices and clothing that is required. The following is the minimum:a. Metatarsal bootsb. Safety glassesc. Hearing protectiond. Hard HatSome areas may require additional personal protective equipment such as:e. Respirators; the respirator requires you to be clean shaven in order to comply with company policies and procedures as well as OSHA Regulations.f.Fire Retardant clothingg. Acid PPE5. Report to the Safety Coordinator, Group Lead or Supervisor any contravention of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations or Company policies or procedures6. Must follow all Lockout Tag out (LOTO) guidelines for designated equipment and machinery7. Must follow all Environmental Policies and Regulations8. Maintain a clean and safe work areaWORK ENVIRONMENT:1. Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations2. Clean, well ventilated and safe work areas. HUMAN RESOURCES:1.
